In the first volume, "Gil," an aging war vet faces down demons both figurative and literal — and past and present — on his quest for redemption. Masterfully penciled by artist Jasper Yu (© images 2019), the artwork of "Gil" captures the heart-wrenching despair of a man with seemingly nothing left to live for, and the unexpected hope he gleans from a world ruled by the dead.
